Just a couple of quick notes to help you on your way through this tiny trip through my subconscious. First of all, let me explain who a few people are. Tracey is my wife, Bill has been my best friend for years and all of the others have been people with whom I have shared some part of my life.
     Second, a word about the locations. I was born and raised in Rockford, IL, which is located in the northern area of the state. In the fall of 1996, I moved into the Residence Center at Columbia College in Chicago where I am currently studying photography. Part of the summer of 1997 was spent back in Rockford until August when Tracey and I moved into our apartment in Chicago where I have thankfully started school again.
     The dreams are set up so that you, the reader, will create the threads, examine the trends and hack your own way through this tangled mess. Follow them through chronologically or examine my hidden obsessions. It's up to you.
     Hypertext is the perfect choice for this type of project precisely because it asks something of you. It is an active, participatory event instead of a static recitation. Follow the links at the bottom of each dream to give us your own dreams, to create what will become a dreamspace where the landscape will be constantly shifting, guided by your able minds. I think that half of this work is revelation, but the other half is ripe with potential connections and theories. If any sort of forum on dreaming arises from this, then something great will have started.
   As this continues we will also post links to dreaming related sites on the net and elsewhere.
